Aloha n' E-Komo-Mai
Paho'a, Hawaii

pictured above Old Paho'a Town
The east side of the Big Island of Hawaii in the Puna District, just 4 miles outside the quaint circa 1800's Old Paho~a Town, is where we are located. Historic Hilo town is a quick 25 minute drive northeast of us and the ever impressive Volcanoes National Park is about 40 minutes away, which is located southwest of us. Our Business is located in the middle of Hawaii's Beautiful Lush Green Puna Rain and Ohia Forest.
The Puna District is the most scenic and rural area of the Big Island. The eastside of the Island is still considered Old Hawaii (it is what Oahu used to be 40 to 50 years ago) and not the tourist mecca of crowds and traffic that the other Hawaiian Islands have become.
If you are looking for traditional white sand beaches lots of tourist and traffic you'll have to visit the Westside of the Big Island in the town of Kona, like the Beautiful Hapuna Beach.
So what can you do on the Eastside? More than you could ever imagine! Witness some of the world's most spectacular sunrises, bathe in pristine hot-spring oceanside lagoons, swim with gentle Green Sea Turtles and Spinner Dolphins, snorkel in coral lined tide pools teaming with marine life, hike to glowing lava flows (a sight you'll never forget), spot a pod of spinner dolphins near the sacred black sand beach of Kehena which offers locals and visitors the option to swim in the nude or with a swimsuit, your choice. Or you can watch a pod of Humpback Whales frolic in the warm ocean waters and enjoy the best shopping and cuisine at bargain prices. Also enjoy shopping at the Maku'u Farmers Market and the Paho'a Farmers Market All of this, and much more awaits you.
However Visitors are warned, that a prolonged stay in this Aloha time capsule may make leaving a very difficult task. It certainly became just that for us, so we decided to stay.
So to all of our Family and Friends, when you think you've had enough of the fast pace, come visit and relax with us in what is a Paradise truly found, where the sun and star filled skies meets the Pacific Ocean! Aloha, hope to see you soon.
About Hawaii
Hawaii, or the "Aloha State" which it is more commonly known as is the only volcanic island state in the United States. Hawaii is also the southernmost of all 50 states. Hawaii consists of eight main islands and 124 islets, reefs, and shoals near the center of the northern Pacific Ocean. Honolulu is the capital and largest city of Hawaii. Hawaii lies about 2,400 miles from the western coast of the United States mainland. To me the East Side of the Big Island of Hawaii is the most beautiful tropical paradise with its Puna Rain Forest and a relaxed cultural island lifestyle. You can enjoy ethnic exotic foods, hear and see unique sights and sounds and observe the spirit of Aloha wherever you go.
If you love a natural environmentlove peace and quiet,“then Puna is the place.”
